SwipePiP is a browser extension that provides Picture-in-Picture controls for supported short-form video platforms.
Website Content
SwipePiP accesses and processes the active video and related page elements on supported websites only when necessary to provide its Picture-in-Picture functionality, including playback, previous/next navigation, seeking, volume control, and synchronization with the currently active video.
This processing occurs locally in the user's browser.
SwipePiP does not transmit website video content or page content to the developer, analytics providers, advertisers, or tracking services.
Temporary Extension State
SwipePiP uses Chrome's session storage for temporary extension state required for functionality, such as identifying the tab associated with the current Picture-in-Picture session and the most recently active supported short-form video tab.
This temporary state is not used for advertising, analytics, tracking, or profiling.
Personal Data
SwipePiP does not intentionally collect or transmit:
- Personally identifiable information
- Health information
- Financial or payment information
- Authentication credentials
- Personal communications
- Precise location
- Browsing history
SwipePiP does not use analytics, telemetry, advertising, or user tracking.
Data Sharing
SwipePiP does not sell user data.
SwipePiP does not transfer user data to third parties for advertising, profiling, lending, creditworthiness, or purposes unrelated to the extension's user-facing functionality.
Payments and Support
SwipePiP may contain an optional external link to Buy Me a Coffee for users who voluntarily wish to support development.
Any payment interaction occurs on Buy Me a Coffee and its payment providers. SwipePiP does not collect, receive, or process payment card information.
Browser Permissions
SwipePiP requests access only to supported short-form video websites so that it can identify and control the active media required for its Picture-in-Picture functionality.
SwipePiP uses browser session storage only for temporary operational state.
Changes
If SwipePiP's data practices materially change, this privacy policy will be updated accordingly.
